About Farm: Brief Details of the Farm of RSV CARS, Bemetara.

RSV CARS Bemetara has a primary mandate to provide education, conduct research, and offer extension services in the field of agriculture and related areas. The college offers academic programs as well as research at CARS FARM in various disciplines. These programs cover fields such as Agronomy, Genetics Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agricultural Statistics, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economic, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. Its work plays a vital role in improving agricultural practices and the lives of farmers in the region.

• 1. Farm Facility:• Total area of farm is 19.39 ha. Farm is fenced. Different structures includes storage godown (13 m x 9.5 m), threshing floor, biological waste disposal pit, open composting area,vermi- composting unit, area for preparation of Jiwaamrit and mass multiplication of bio-fertilizer, farm office and seed grader hall (15 m x 9.5 m) along with grader Farm is equipped with tractor with trolley-1, mini tractor -1, cultivator-1, rotavator-1, laser leveller-1, ridger-2, disc harrow-1, multi- crop thresher-1, normal thresher-1, winower-1, seed-cum fertilizer drill-1, zero seed drill-1, raised bed planter-1, reaper-1. Farm has one mini workshop with essential equipment.
• 2. Irrigation Facility:• Farm has 4 bore wells, 1 pond (0.4 ha) and seasonal canals. Farm has pipes (flood), sprinklers, drips and foggers for irrigation purpose.
• 3. Horticultural Facility: • Farm is facilitated with working area, composting & soil solarisation area, mother orchard (2.0 ha) - guava, mango, ber, dragonfruit (Red to Red), citrus, karonda, phalsa, ratalu, aonla, jackfruit, custardapple, pomegranate, drum sticks & others. Different species of medicinal plants (20) are available. Landscaping works has also been done at farm. Some other facilities includes: Seasonals-Coliage, climbers & others.
